Privacy notice: Pipstash waitlist

This notice explains what happens to your email address when you join the Pipstash waitlist on pipstash.app. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Marcin Trybuś, a private individual based in Warsaw, Poland. Contact: hello@pipstash.app.

What we collect

That's all. We don't ask for your name and we don't store your IP address. To stop abuse, the server briefly keeps a one-way, scrambled version (a salted hash) of your IP address; it can't be turned back into the address and is deleted within about an hour.

Why we collect it

Only to email you once, when Pipstash launches. We won't send newsletters or marketing, and we won't sell or share your email with anyone for advertising.

Legal basis

Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time; this doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew.

Who processes it for us

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and stores the waitlist in its D1 database, acting as our processor under its Data Processing Addendum. The waitlist database is kept in Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction, so your stored email stays in the European Union. Because Cloudflare's network operates worldwide, your request may still pass through or be briefly processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States; Cloudflare relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

No emails are sent until launch. When we pick a service to send the launch email, we'll update this notice first.

How long we keep it

We delete the waitlist 12 months after the launch email is sent, or sooner if you ask. If Pipstash doesn't launch, we delete the list once that's decided.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or restrict how it's used, and you can withdraw your consent. Just email hello@pipstash.app from the address you signed up with, and we'll reply within one month. Every email we send will also have an unsubscribe link.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Polish data protection authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), at uodo.gov.pl, or to the authority in your own EU country.
